Little things

I am so touched when someone remembered my birthday and actually bother to celebrate with me in advance amdist his "pockets of time".

It came as a surprise and caught me off-guard. In this time and age, particularly when I was busy during the start of this new year, little gestures do matter. At least to me, I realised now.

  • A sweet call from my mom (having to press a string of numbers to reach my Beijing home; she practically has to dial at least 2 3 times to get it right);

  • My auntie who bought me chicken essence to carry all the way back (yes, I have an over-sized baggage);

  • Dear frens who bought me christmas gifts;

  • Cousins who eagerly arrange for mahjong sessions before I leave for Beijing (since they knew I am a gambler and missing it for practically a year here, haha or they just want to win an old hag's money)

  • My Beijing colleagues arranging a welcome lunch for me after a hiatus from China

    I am not easily touched but I am always grateful. Trivial things that signifies so many a things. *Sob*

    What did I give back? Nothing much I guess. Spolit brat. *Slap myself*

    What is my new year resolution? There was a study that says 95% of the people do not fulfil their resolution. I guess my general motto is still to be happy.

    2010, finally I am here to enjoy the new year !
